The multi award winning Blackburn Wing is a 2000 sq ft treehouse shaped like an airplane wing and nestled in ancient woodland at the heart of the Bowcliffe Estate.
Designed and built with meticulous attention to detail, the copper and glass masterpiece pays tribute to aviation hero Robert Blackburn, who lived in Bowcliffe Hall and was a Yorkshireman who introduced the first scheduled air service in Great Britain and designed and built one of the first powered aeroplanes.
